How to reach there:
Malabar Hill can be approached from two roads – via Walkeshwar Road (on Girgaum Chowpatty), or via Napean Sea Road. If you are coming by local train, the nearest station is Grant Road Station in the Western Railways line. After alighting at Grant Road Station, you can hire a taxi (tell the taxi to take you to Hanging Garden). You can take either the Walkeshwar approach (via Wilson College) or Napean Sea Road approach via Kemps’ Corner. Either way, it takes roughly the same time to reach Hanging Garden and should cost roughly the same (about Forty Rupees on the outside, unless you get caught in a bad traffic snarl). If you are a first timer in Mumbai, ensure that the taxi driver flags the meter, and pay by the meter. In case of doubts, the driver would have a copy of the Taxi Tariff Card.

You can also get down at Charni Road Station (one station after Grant Road Station), where you can catch BEST bus number 106 outside the station (on the east, along New Marine Lines road). Hanging Garden is the last stop for this bus route. However, the frequency of this bus may be a bit erratic at times, especially on Sundays. The better option is to catch a taxi at Grant Road Station. Once you reach Hanging Garden, the Church is a short walk away.

If you are coming from anywhere else, head for Hanging Garden. Most taxi drivers know where it is located.
